Our streets, our schools and our safety are on the ballot.

Election Day will decide what Toronto looks like in 2030. Yet in the last election, most eligible voters stayed home.

Fewer than 3 in 10 eligible Torontonians voted in 2022.

When turnout is this low, a handful of votes decides who wins

Every one of these 2022 races could have gone the other way.

Our community is already stepping up.

More than 200 Jewish Torontonians and allies have already volunteered for candidates of their choice this election. Now we're going all in.

Candidates have found their supporters. We make sure they vote.

Campaigns for mayor, council and school board have spent months confirming who supports them. On Election Day, volunteers go back to those supporters and make sure they cast their ballot. Even two hours can carry your candidate to victory.

You won't be arguing with strangers. You'll be reminding people who already support your candidate to vote.

Three simple steps

  1. Sign up to volunteer on Election Day

    It takes about a minute.

  2. A CJPAC volunteer captain gets in touch

They'll help match you with a candidate who shares your values and the right role for you.

  3. Show up on October 26 and help win a key race

Join your candidate's team for as little as two hours. No experience needed.

What a typical shift looks like

About two hours, as part of your candidate's team. You won't be on your own.

  1. Check in

Meet the campaign team and get a quick briefing.

  2. Get your list

You'll receive names of supporters the campaign has already identified who haven't voted yet.

  3. Knock or call

Remind them to vote and make sure they know where their polling station is.

  4. Check back in

Report back, and take another list if you have time to stay.

Questions

Do I need any experience?

No. Your captain will match you with a role that suits you, and the Zoom trainings cover everything you need to know.

How much time does it take?

As little as two hours on October 26. If you can give more, campaigns will gladly take it, but every shift counts.

I haven't decided which candidate to support.

That's fine. Your volunteer captain will help you find a candidate who shares your values in a race where your help counts.

Can I help before Election Day?

Yes. Let your captain know when they call and they can connect you with your campaign sooner.
